How does this work?

  1. Sign up to our weekly,  twice a month or once a month wheelie bin cleaning service.
  2. Leave your bin outside on municipal bin emptying days.
  3. Once the municipality has emptied your bin, we'll arrive sometime after to give it a good scrub, leaving your bin clean, sanitised, lemon-scented and germ free.
  4. Once done we send you a WhatsApp to inform you we have cleaned your Bin.

Why do I need to have my wheelie bin professionally cleaned?

  1. Dirt and bacteria accumulates quickly. In just one week, your bin can accumulate a significant amount of dirt and bacteria that is not removed with your garbage when it is emptied.

  2. Smell is horrible. We've all walked past an empty wheelie bin that stinks. That is a clear indication that the bin has a good buildup of mold and bacteria is beginning to grow.

  3. Your garbage can has become a breeding ground for bacteria.

    Bins are ideal bredding grounds for flies, maggots, cockroaches, and rodents. As a result, these parasites promote the spread of disease and sickness. Furthermore, these bins can harbor a variety of bacteria, mold, and spores, including:

    • Enterobacteriaceae is a bacterial family that includes salmonella, shigella, and E. coli. They cause both minor and serious infections in both children and adults.

    • Staphylococcus infections spread quickly. While they primarily cause boils and blisters on the skin, they can also cause severe internal discomfort.

    • Proteus Vulgaris organisms have been linked to a number of serious human infections.

Under what conditions are we unable to wash a bin?

Under what conditions are we unable to wash a bin?
Bins contaminated with wet paint, pet feces, engine oil, or any other water contaminant prevent us from washing the bin because the contaminant contaminates the non-potable water in our trailers, forcing us to discard up to 400 litres of  water immediately. Please ensure that any water contaminants are bagged safely and securely within your wheelie bin.

How does payment work?

  1. If you join our services during a month, you will be charged pro-rata for that month. 
  2. We send out invoices around the 24th of every month, with payment due by the end of that month.
  3. Our Payment options are EFT, PayFast and PayFast subscriptions if you prefer.
What about cancelling the service?

  1. We are a month-to-month service and there for you only need to give us notice that you discontinue using the service.
  2. Please give 30 days notice when you cancel and you can send us an email to advice of cancelation: info@wecleanbins.co.za
